This is a contemporary version of a Joh Schreit rifle, roughly copying the
carving and engraving. Not an exact copy. I used a 44″ .54 cal Rice barrel,
Chambers Germanic lock, sand cast butt plate and trigger guard, stocked in
maple. The trigger guard was heavily modified. The nose cap, thimbles, trigger
and side plate were hand made for this gun also. The gun weighs 9 lbs.

Hi Roy….I live next door in NH and was looking at the Schreit 54 that you make. Met you once at the Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth NH a few years back. But anyways….was wondering how much this build was….and a time line….if it’s months or years. And Nit Wit (Ray) said you were a good guy too…lol. Thanks again Mike Brady
